About Velvet: Velvet and her mate, Hemi, arrived on the ranch a short while ago. Both are retired racers who are no longer in their racing prime, however are great companions to the others and have transitioned very well into the herd. Velvet had a hard time at first due to her life being very fast paced, however she easily overcame that once she realized how to relax.
